I’m the Director of Engineering at Lean TECHniques where I work on internal initiatives, advise clients, and help point organizations in the right direction with their technical and organizational strategy. I also enjoy helping teams realize their potential through technical practices (such as CI/CD, TDD, IAC, etc.) and working more effectively (such as limiting WIP, visualizing work, etc).
Primarily when I’m coding I’m using some combination of C# and JavaScript, but I also get my hands into DevOps, building communities, and really any technology in general. I am extremely passionate about giving back to the software community, because others have helped me (and continue to do so). Lately, I’ve been looking into LLM’s for developer productivity.
Some things I’m involved with:
- I maintain this blog
- I’m an international speaker
- I’m a Microsoft MVP
- I’m a Dometrain author
- I’m a Redgate Community Ambassador
- I’m a co-organizer for the Iowa .NET User Group
- I try to contribute to open source in between the cracks
Most of my blog posts are about a small topic with the goal of trying to save other people time. Other people have helped save me hundreds of hours of my own time via their blog posts, so I started this blog to return that favor.
Feel free to ask me about anything!
